Miletery camp in Alexandria 1959

Nice picture Nabil, by the way I was born in 1959. This machine gun is not Russian. It is the 2B26 ‘Brno’ light machine gun which was made in Czechoslovakia in 1938. It takes the same cartridge as the Enfield rifle takes (303 British). It was used in World War II and many other wars, such as the 1948 Arab – Israeli War and the Suez Crisis. It works as a machine gun and shoots 600 rounds per minute and also as a semi-automatic by switching a selector. The name Brno came from the city they manufacture it in. I’ll attach some WW II pictures of solders using the Brno. Keep in contact.
